What is a narrative?
A narrative is a type of writing that tells a story.  The narrative can be fiction or non-fiction.  A narrative has a begining, middle  and end.  It describes a sequence of events.  In a narrative you have characters and a plot to the story.  It is told from a particular point of view, has details and verbs.  An example of  narrative writing is Jack and the Beanstalk, Little Red Riding Hood, and the Goosebumps series and many others.

  1. Good description of Narrative. I like your examples of narrative. I know my own children loved to read the Goosebumps books.
